The derby win in six stats

Check out the six key stats to emerge from Le Gym's 3-0 win in Monaco on Sunday.

LE GYM LOVES THE BIG GUNS

Les Aiglons have picked up 17 points away from home against teams in the top half of the table (5 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats), a division best. They have won at Lille (1-2), Lorient (1-2), Lens (0-1), Marseille (1-3) and now Monaco (0-3).

SO SOLID

The team have conceded just a single goal in their last seven Ligue 1 games: at Marseille on 5 February (3-1). They've shipped just two goals since 11 January. Only Lens, with 20 goals conceded, have a better defensive record than Le Gym (21).

MONACO'S RUN ENDED, LE GYM'S EXTENDED

On the pitch, AS Monaco failed to score in Ligue 1 for the first time since 13 March in Strasbourg, ending a streak of 34 games in which they had found the net. Nice stretched their unbeaten run to eight matches.

20 POINTS FROM 24

Since Didier Digard took charge of the first team, OGC Nice have picked up 20 points from a possible 24 (2 goalless draws with Reims). That's three more than any other team with Monaco next-best on 17. "There's a little league since we took charge of the team," said the coach. "We were equal on points with Monaco over the previous seven games. There's always a little bit of ego to bring to the fore if it helps the team and the group."

KHEPHREN THURAM DOUBLES UP

The Nice midfielder got a goal and assist in the same game for the second time in nine Ligue 1 matches in 2023 following that against Montpellier (6-1). He had never achieved such a double in his first 95 top-flight appearances.

DANTE DEFIES TIME

Dante (39 years and 131 days) is the oldest player with three goal involvements across Europe's top 5 leagues (1 goal, 2 assists).
