Last night, former Aiglon Larrys Mabiala triumphed on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Mabiala, who played 42 matches in Rouge et Noir between 2009 and 2011, lifted the "MLS is back" trophy with Portland Timbers FC, defeating Orlando 2-1 in the final of the post-lockdown tournament. 

The former PSG youth academy graduate opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a powerful header.

Victory in this one-off tournament, held behind closed doors at Disney World, sees Portland Timbers FC qualify for the next CONCACAF Champions League.
