Transfer
Bassem Srarfi joins Zulte-Waregem
OGC Nice and Zulte-Waregem have reached agreement for the transfer of Bassem Srarfi. After arriving in January 2017, the Tunisia international leaves the Gym for Belgium’s Jupiler League.
After starting his professional career at Club Africain, the attacking midfielder joined the Gym during the 2016/17 winter transfer window. In three years in the red-and-black shirt, he made 69 competitive appearances, played in European competition, and scored four goals and provided four assists. He also got international recognition, and was part of Tunisia’s 2018 FIFA World Cup squad.
During the 2017/18 Europa League, he came off the bench against Zulte-Waregem during the Gym’s 5-1 win at the Arc-En-Ciel Stadium (5-1). He’ll now get to know the stadium a lot better as he joins Francky Dury’s squad, who are currently eighth in the Belgian top flight.
OGC Nice would like to wish Bassem all the best.
