New training complex: the latest progress in images
The work on the new OGC Nice training complex, to be delivered this summer, are now into the final straight. And that can be seen. The progress, captured by Drone 06, is once again startling. What do these unseen image taken from the air last week tell us?
A large rectangle has appeared. This will soon become the ‘main pitch’, which, once finished, will be used by the first team. The white part? You could be lead to believe that it is a large sheet of tarpaulin. But in fact, it is a “carpet” made up of very fine sand. A complex and important stage.

The facades of the building have recently been completed. The white “cassette” system on the façade is almost entirely in place. Only the red and black touches remain to be added. This will superbly decorate the column to the right of the entrance. The insulation is finished for this section. Upon completion, it will be fully covered in red and black, taking inspiration from the Aiglons’ shirt. The workers on-site have symbolically named it the “totem”. Several huge club crests will also be displayed on the building.
Artificial turf has been laid on the awnings which surround the balconies, while the solar panels are equally distinguishable on the top section of the roof. They will allow the club to power almost all of the lighting inside of the training complex.
Behind the walls, the efforts continue to focus on the sporting areas on the ground floor as well as on the restaurant level. From this week on, work will also take place on the green spaces. To be continued…
