Here is what awaits the Aiglons in the coming weeks.

Four days after the publication of the Ligue 1 - Conforama fixtures for 2017-18 (Thursday 15 June), the players are expected at the training ground for their return to training (19 June).

Then, after ten or so days of work on the Côte d'Azur, the Niçois will head to Ain, for the fifth consecutive year. Lucien Favre's squad will set-up in Divonne-les-Bains from 1 to 8 July.

Two friendlies against Swiss sides will cap off the training sessions that await Dante and his teammates. The sides should play their first match on 1 July against FC Nyon*, from the 3rd division, before finishing their stay by facing Servette de Genève (7 July, Divonne). The former club of Lucien Favre (coach from 2000 to 2002) finished on the podium of the Challenge League (2nd division) last season.

After a quick week in Nice, the Aiglons will face a new challenge. On 13 July, they will travel to Belgium, to face La Gantoise*, 3rd in the Jupiler Pro League and into the Round of 16 of the Europa League in 2016-17. 

The next day, OGC Nice will discover the name of their first official opponent, in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League.

A sense of the European cup will hang around for the 4th friendly, given that Lucien Favre will take his side to Prague, on 16 July, to continue preparations against Slavia, champion of the Czech Republic.

Finally, even though the opposition and place remain to be confirmed, the Azuréens will complete their preparations in a final friendly on 19 July. They will then face the games in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League (first leg 25 or 26 July, 2nd leg 1st or 2nd August), before starting in the league, on the weekend of 4-5-6 August.
