The different leagues have now finished and delivered their verdicts this weekend. It is now possible to know the list of OGC Nice’s five potential opponents in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

The Gym will be in the group called “The way of the League”, which groups together the sides that finished 3rd in the league of a member association ranked 6th (France and therefore, the Red and Blacks) and the teams finishing 2nd for those associations ranked between 7th and 15th by UEFA.

Doted with a modest coefficient (16,833, considering one of their possible opponents currently have 67,525), the Aiglons will not be one of the top seeded sides and will face one of the following:        

•  Dynamo Kiev (UKR.)
•  Ajax Amsterdam (NED)
•  Viktoria Plzen (CZE.)
•  CSKA Moscou (RUS)
•  Club Bruges (BEL)        

The draw is scheduled for 14 July. The top seeds won’t be guaranteed a home return leg. A second draw will confirm the order of the matches planned for 25/26 July and 1/2 August.

If successful in their qualification, Nice will participate in the play-offs of the Champions League in August. In case of defeat, they will feature in the play-offs of the Europa League.
