Ricardo, the attacking threat
With an average mark of 5,78, Ricardo is positioned on the right side of the defence, a position that he occupied mainly in the first part of the season, before moving further forward. L'Équipe underline his attacking qualities on the wing, and he made 78% of his passes in the last 30 metres of the pitch.

Dante, Mr Consistency
The 2nd Aiglon in this team is Dante, who finds himself alongside his fellow countryman, Thiago Silva (PSG) in central defence. Consistent (he has only missed two Ligue 1 encounters since he arrived on the Côte d’Azur), the Brazilian is credited with an average mark of 5.82 by the journalists, who highlight the quality of his passing (94.1% pass completion, with the second best ratio in the league amongst the players who have played more than ten matches).

Seri’ monopoly
Finally, the last Red and Black representative is Mika Seri. The Ivorian is the player who has attempted the most (2837) and succeed the most (2539) passes in the top-flight. He is also the player who has made the most touches (3 359), whilst at the same time showing himself decisive in the opposition’s half (10 assists, 7 goals).

Cyprien and Baysse “on the bench”
Positioned at the bottom of the midfield diamond, with Parisian Marco Verratti and Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, the Nice number 6 beat, by a whisker (6.09 against 6.07) his teammate Wylan Cyprien. For his first season in Red and Black, the young Guadeloupean (22 years old) takes his place on the bench of the side, alongside his captain, Paul Baysse (5.81).
