Nice - Paris SG

Koziello is up for it

In position and in form, Vincent Koziello cannot wait for the visit of Paris, due to begin at 9pm on Sunday. Clear on the qualities of the visitors, the midfielder is refusing to back down as the encounter approaches. Koziello is up for it.

Nice - Paris

It’s a match that is a bit different, against the reigning Champions, in a full stadium…They will be vying to win because if they don’t, they lose the title. That adds a bit extra in the build-up! That being said, I have seen that, during the week, Mario said that the party needs to be for Nice and not for Paris - that’s also how I feel. And I think that it can work out that way…

The last chance to go and see what’s above?

Exactly. If we don’t manage to beat them, it will be over. Even in beating them, they would need to stumble on two occasions in the last three games and we would need to win all of ours. It seems to be rather tricky, but we need to give our all. And then, if we have a nice surprise at the end of the season, we will all be happy… It’s down to us on the pitch to continue winning.

The lessons from Toulouse

We need to be a lot more efficient. We had chances and we only scored one, where as at half-time, we should already have gone in with more. The challenge will be greater, because Paris are better than Toulouse and have something big to play for. They are going to be fired up. It will be a very tough match for us but, I think that we have the ability to beat them.

“It wasn’t an 11 against 9 but a 12 against 9…”

The Allianz sold out

I have witnessed it once before, against  St-Etienne, last year: a great memory that opened the doors to Europe for us, with a magnificent outcome and two goals that came at the end of the match. It was a great atmosphere, I can’t wait to see what it will be like against Paris. I spoke a bit with the fans that come to training, they already tell us it will be buzzing. Of course, that gives us pleasure, it adds that extra desire, here’s hoping that the outcome will be just as great as last season.

Electricity

It can turn games. Last year, especially in the final minutes, to talk about St-Etienne, we could feel the fans pushing us on. It wasn’t an 11 against 9 but a 12 against 9… When you feel that, it pushes you on to go further and you want to work hard for the people behind you, you forget your fatigue. It will remain an exchange: the fans like what we do on the pitch, and we like at least as much what they are offering in the stands…

The key to the match

Play our game and come out with the ball. The breakdown will also play a big part. If we can manage to win back a lot of ball, we will, of course, have more to give in attack and to be dangerous…
