Assured of staying on the podium at the end of the season following their victory over Nancy (3-1), Mika Seri and his teammates secured their place in the history books alongside the best of the club’s legends.

In fact, in the 57 seasons the Niçois have competed in the top-flight, the Gym have finished in the top three on only 7 occasions. The first four times, it was to lift the trophy (in the 1950/51, 1951/52, 1955/56 and 1958/59 seasons).

Then, they returned once again in 1967/68, 1972/73 and 1975/76, on each occasion finishing in 2nd. The Aiglons have never ended the season in third place in the first division.
