Down to work before the final sprint

Although certain members of the squad have been called-up by their international side, the majority of the Aiglons made the most of the international break to prepare themselves for the final hurdles of the season.

On Monday, the week started smoothly. With the word of the day being recovery. 48 hours after their last match against Nantes (1-1), the players stayed inside, working with the physios.

This rest was short lived though, as the day after the Red and Blacks took to the pitch once more, under the watchful eye of Lucien Favre and his backroom staff.

Then on Wednesday, it was more of the same. Under beautiful skies and sunshine, the players worked intensively on their technique, with numerous drills to continue progressing.

During the session, they also extended the fun by offering a special moment to the youngsters of the Supporters Club.

The rain that fell on Thursday couldn’t stop Dante and his teammates, who continued to train in some rather “British” conditions.

Even though the sun still hadn’t returned by Friday morning, the light rain almost seemed pleasant in comparison with what had fallen the day before. Conditions that the Niçois should find one again on Saturday for their final session of the week (10am).

After a well deserved rest on Sunday, the Aiglons will progressively prepare themselves for the visit of Bordeaux on Sunday 2 April at 9pm.
