The Gym lead the big five

The most recent fortnightly newsletter from the Football Observatory (CIES) examines the game time given to young players, and more specifically to those who have been thrown into the fire this season.

Within the big five leagues, the record of game time made by debutants (players that have never appeared in a professional league before) has been achieved by OGC Nice, with 2,245 minutes played.

This season, Lucien Favre has thrown three youngsters into the professional game: Malang Sarr (1964 minutes), Patrick Burner (180) and Vincent Marcel (101), leading the Gym to dominate the table ahead of Espanyol and FC Nantes.
