During his press conference, Lucien Favre was rather satisfied with the point picked up in Gironde by the Aiglons

Lucien, how do you take tonight’s draw?
It’s a good point. It could have gone either way. We put in a pretty good performance. We got hit on the counter on numerous occasions, and it’s in those situations that they are dangerous because they have powerful strikers in Laborde, Malcom and Kamano. From our side of things, we had opportunities but we couldn’t put them away. We were missing some things, but it remains a good point for us and now, we can take a small rest.

Your defence was decimated and in the end, that is the satisfying part you can take from tonight’s game!
In the end it worked out very well. Everybody stuck to their job. Our two centre-backs, our full-backs, including the little Burner. It wasn’t easy for him to play his first match in the league on the left when he is used to playing on the right.

... it’s Christmas (smiles). 44 points, it’s fantastic. There is progress to be made, we are going to work. That is the only thing that counts, to move forward. We will continue on in 2017 with that philosophy. 

For you, which are the areas for improvement?
We can improve everything. The technique, the two feet to be able to play more quickly, movement, our press, we have room to improve. But that will take time, it takes time. Our players are young, so they have the opportunity to improve.
