Last night, a terrible accident sent Brazilian society and the sporting world into a state of grief. The plane that was carrying the Chapecoense team to Colombia for the final of the Copa Sudamericana that they were to play against Atlético Nacional, crashed 50km from Medellin, taking the lives of 74 people.

OGC Nice, by way of defender Dante, sends its sincerest condolences to the families of the victims.

While the Ligue has organised a minute's silence in the lead-up to all the fixtures in Ligue 1's Week 15 and Ligue 2's Week 17, the Aiglons will also wear black armbands in their away clash in Guingamp, as a sign of support to their two Brazilian teammates, Dante and Dalbert.
