Press statement

OGC Nice, on the one hand, and Fabrice Bocquet, on the other, announce that they have mutually agreed to bring their collaboration to an end.

After three and a half years as Chief Executive Officer and subsequently President, Fabrice Bocquet will step down from his duties with effect from today.

In a spirit of responsibility and constructive dialogue, both parties considered it appropriate to open a new chapter in order to enable OGC Nice to regain a momentum aligned with its objectives.

From a sporting perspective, the Club has recorded strong results over the past two seasons, finishing above expectations (5th in 2023–2024 and 4th in 2024–2025), reflecting the solidity of the collective project that was implemented.

Beyond the pitch, Fabrice Bocquet played a key role in the restructuring and organisation of the Club’s internal operations, as well as in overseeing its financial management, particularly with regard to cost control and transfer-related revenues. His work helped to lay sustainable foundations for the future and long-term stability of OGC Nice. Fabrice Bocquet also contributed to giving fresh impetus to the Club’s Academy development project, as demonstrated by the increased number of Academy players within the first-team squad.

The Club would like to thank Fabrice Bocquet for his commitment during his tenure.

In order to ensure continuity and inject new momentum, OGC Nice announces the appointment of two former Presidents, both deeply attached to the Club: Jean-Pierre Rivère as President and Maurice Cohen as Vice-President with authority to operate. They have decided to join forces to serve the Institution at a complex moment in its history.

Fully aware of the Club’s complex situation, INEOS has put the conditions in place for a collective rebound.

In a challenging sporting context, the Club has chosen to focus all its energy on a single objective: helping OGC Nice navigate this period and regain momentum in line with its ambitions.
