Another day, another stat
All you need to know about Nice’s goalscorers
59 goals were scored by 12 different OGC Nice players over the course of the 2021-22 season, across all competitions.
With 18 goals in all competitions, including 16 in Ligue 1, Andy Delort finishes as Nice’s top scorer. The Sète native’s total even rises to 20 if we take into account the two that he notched up for Montpellier in the first three games of the season.
three STATS about ANDY DELORT at NICE
- With three goals in seven minutes away to Reims, Delort scored the quickest hat-trick in Ligue 1 since Matt Moussilou on 2nd April 2005 for Lille against Istres (5 minutes).
- Delort brought his employers 20 points with his 18 goals in Ligue 1 this season (one point for Montpellier and 19 for Nice), a record total.
- Delort scored ten goals in the final quarter-of-an-hour of games in Ligue 1 this season, which is at least double the total of any other top-flight player. Incidentally, more than half of his goals for Nice in Ligue 1 have been scored within that 15-minute period (9/16).
Nice’s second-highest scorer is Amine Gouiri. Having been prolific during the first half of the season, the French Under-21 international racked up 12 goals, including ten in Ligue 1. Finally, with seven goals (including six in Ligue 1), Kasper Dolberg is the club’s third-highest scorer of 2021-22.
It’s worth noting that four players found the net for the first time in the French top flight this season: Justin Kluivert (six goals), Calvin Stengs (one goal) and Melvin Bard (two goals), all of whom joined in the summer of 2021, as well as Evann Guessand, who wrapped up his first full season as part of the club’s first team with one goal.
