Another day another stat
Le Gym’s bouncebackability
Against Lens in their final game of 2021, OGC Nice found themselves behind after half an hour following a goal from Arnaud Kalimuendo but nonetheless managed to turn the match on its head and eventually run out 2-1 winners.
That ability to react has been a constant for Christophe Galtier’s men so far this campaign and is backed up by the numbers, as Le Gym have earned 13 points from losing positions in Ligue 1 this season. Only Paris have done better in this regard, with 17 points gained after being behind.
Nice’s resilience is particularly notable in the final 15 minutes of matches, as, with ten goals scored in the closing stages, Les Rouge et Noir possess the second-highest goal tally in the top flight in this respect.
