Passion returns to the stadium

Passion returns to the stadium

The OGC Nice season ticket campaign entered its second phase on Wednesday morning, with the start of in-person sales at the Allianz Riviera.

At 10am on the dot, the supporters were already crossing the threshold of the Salon des Abonnés. Loyal fans who couldn't wait to collect their card for the 2021-2022 season. The card that will allow them to open the doors to the Allianz Riviera once more and give them the chance to experience the passion that they have been deprived of for so long. For some, the last memory of the stadium dates back to Nice - Nantes in October 2020, which was played in front of a reduced crowd. For others, it's a crazy March evening and a victory in the derby.

On Wednesday, they were driven by a motivation for just one thing: "Getting back into the atmosphere of ground after practically a year and a half without the passion of the terraces", as explained by Michel, a "supporter for as long as he can remember".

Welcomed by the OGC Nice Commercial Department in the brand new decor of the Salon des Abonnés, each of them were able to get the answers to their questions and "physically" secure their season ticket for the upcoming season, or collect an order placed online*. That was the case for Bruno, who signed up as soon as the digital campaign was launched last Thursday. On Wednesday morning, he was one of the first to head to the ticket office to collect his card and those of his 17 year-old daughter and 19 year-old son. Rather than receive his season ticket to his home address, the die-hard Nice supporter preferred to travel to the Allianz Riviera and he was delighted to be back at the stadium that he has missed so much: "It only took five minutes, it was very quick. The possibility to pay in 11 instalments is an excellent one, being able to spread the cost helps alongside the particularly reasonable prices for OGC Nice compared to what is happening at other clubs."

In front of the doors, the innovative season ticket campaign dreamt up by the club and the various benefits that it offers, were often the topic of conversation, between memories of the stadium and passionate conversations about the season to come. Michel said: "What the club has put in place is unique in France. Given the current situation, it allows people to be able to sign up more easily and make the most of the stadium. The offers from businesses and the monthly payment system is really good, as a season ticket can take its toll on a budget." With a smile from ear to ear, Hugues left the ticket office of the Allianz Riviera proudly holding the precious trophy.

For everyone, the return to the stadium has never been closer. There are just a few weeks to wait before heading back to the terraces of the Allianz Riviera. On Friday, they will discover that date, with the publication of the fixtures for the season.

Frédéric Larue, OGC Nice Commercial Director: "The enthusiasm is very important"

"Today is a very important day, with the opening of the Salon des Abonnés. We set ourselves up in the best possible conditions in order to welcome our season ticket holders and it's a real pleasure for us to be able to reconnect with them in person and to see so many people this morning. The campaign has started very well, from the very first day when it was launched digitally. Today, we have seen the same thing, the enthusiasm is very important! We have been working on this approach for weeks, in order to allow the supporters to return to the stadium despite the economic difficulties that have come about due to the current situation. We will now offer the opportunity to pay for season tickets on a monthly basis and to take action with our partners in order to improve spending power. The objective being to allow our season ticket holders to make savings on their day-to-day spending so that they are in a position to access the season ticket offers. We have taken another look at all of the deals in order to bring them further in line with the expectations and needs of our supporters. Many additions have been put in place, to deliver more and more to our fans, from the experience at the stadium and the quality of the service that we want to provide them with, given how important they are in our eyes."
