In replacing Alassane Plea in the 66th minute of the game on Thursday in Arnhem, Lamine Diaby-Fadiga allowed the Gym to  reach a new milestone. 

The forward, who was born on 19 January 2001 in Grasse, becomes the first player born in the new millenium to wear the Gym’s colours.

At only 16 years 10 months, 19 days, he is also the youngest player in the club’s history to play in a European encounter. 

An impressive achievement for the Nice Academy, and it sends a message of encouragement to the young striker - who also has 4 goals for the U19s and 3 appearances in N2 this season - as well as to his colleagues at the academy.
