The launch had been “historic”. And the weeks that followed would also prove to be so. Of such a magnitude that after a month of the campaign, the bar of 10,000 “season ticket holders” (in general admission and hospitality) has already been beaten. A round and symbolic figure, which is 25% higher than at this stage last season, when the commercialisation had begun a lot earlier.

The quality of the Aiglons on the pitch, as well as the project of the club consolidated by the renewals of Lucien Favre and Mario Balotelli and the promising signing of Lees-Melou, Makengo and Tameze in the first week of the window have all had an impact. In the same way as the prices, which have remained consistent. The first price of 133€ (meaning 7€/match) is one of the lowest in Ligue 1. And the prices now cover even more seats in the Allianz Riviera, in the Ray and in the Populaire Sud (where the 2nd tier was sold out on Wednesday). 

But that is not all. “Our matches last a lot more than 90 minutes”, reminded the communication campaign launched  by OGC Nice at the start of June. “All of the entertainment put on offer during the course of last season also improved the supporter experience on match day. They allowed us to solidify the support of our fan base, whilst at the same time attracting new fans,” explained the club’s Ticket Office Manager, Olivier Renaudo.

With already more than 10.000 season ticket holders and given that the sale of season tickets is not due to end until the end of August, the 12.500 mark reached last season is now clearly in-sight.
