Seri and Cyprien are your MVP of the season

The head, the wisdom and the role of the boss. The legs, the punch and the game changer. Mika Seri and Wylan Cyprien are respectively your Aiglon and your Young Aiglon of this historic season.  The framework and the guide, the detonator and the bomb, the two Gym midfielders follow in the footsteps of Hatem Ben Arfa and Vincent Koziello, and have been honoured by Crédit Agricole Provence Côte d'Azur, sponsor of the award, on Thursday evening. The occasion for the two men, to praise their respective sidekick. With pride.

Seri on Cyprien

"Wylan, I see him as a close friend, I have a lot of similarities with him, both on and off the pitch. He is someone who is really great and I was really sad to see him get injured, even if that is something that happens in football. On the pitch, I always have him in the corner of my mind. He is very capable and he knows how to do everything with the ball: dribble, shoot, score. And then, honestly, a 6 who can attack as well as he can defend, I have rarely seen that. If I could steal something from his game, it would be his ease at playing with his back to the game, to avoid the opponent with shoulder to shoulders. I saw from the get go what he brings, but the moment at which I said to myself that he is a top player was at the Parc. In Paris, he showed that he is a phenomenon. Very few midfielders, at his age, take their responsibilities. He did and had a huge game. He is a great player, he can play anywhere. His title of Young Aiglon of the Season is deserved, and if he hadn't picked up the injury, I would have been pushed out of mine (smiles).

Cyprien on Seri

"Apart from being a friend in the dressing room, Mika is a friend who was there during the difficult times, a great person. In the game, he has the technique, the experience, the agression, the vision, the pass... His passing...I couldn't do that, nobody sees them, apart from him. I followed Nice a lot last season, I liked the way they played with Papy (Mendy) and Vince' (Koziello), but the first time that I saw him in training, it was even better. I am someone who is "a bit crazy" on the pitch, I run everywhere. At Monaco, we were two in front of the defence: when I went left, I came back and saw him to my right, the same for when I went to the other side, he covered everything. That's when I said to myself "wow!" This season, it is largely down to him that I was able to go forward, I knew he was there to take my place. I am very pleased with what he has done, he deserves everything positive that is coming his way and he deserves this award of best player. He could be a top player in the world."
