Srarfi to Nice, confirmation on hold

Having already registered the arrival of the experienced Moroccan international Mounir Obbadi on Tuesday morning, Nice also put the wheels in motion for the transfer of Bassem Srarfi.

The young Tunisian attacking midfielder (19 years old) arrived in Nice on Monday evening, passed his medical on Tuesday and has agreed terms with the Gym to join Lucien Favre's side. OGC Nice also successfully agreed a deal with Club Africain to sign the player, following drawn-out negotiations.

However, on Tuesday evening,  there was still a final piece of the puzzle missing so that Srarfi could officially become an Aiglon. The French Football Federation had requested a International Transfer Certificate from the Tunisian FA before the end of the transfer window, but the the Tunisians didn't have the time to return the document and as such, permit the confirmation before midnight.

The Tunisian FA indicated that it will give its endorsement on Wednesday. OGC Nice also received assurances from the FFF on the feasibility of the transfer, confirming that FIFA would normally accept and validate the transfer in this type of situation.
