OGC Nice Village lands in Levens

This Wednesday, the OGC Nice Village set up shop in the Grand Pré at Levens. And it was a great success!

Fresh, wet grass, sunshine... plenty of red and black... and a superb atmosphere. Welcome to Levens, where the OGC Nice Village stopped off on Wednesday. A stopover with a bit of wind and a lot of love.

"It's a pleasure to meet the supporters and discover such a beautiful place," said Maxime Dupé. "Valentin and I arrived this winter. We're discovering a magnificent place, and you can feel the kindness and support."

From 13:00 onwards, the youngest visitors could enjoy the entertainment usually set up on the Allianz Riviera forecourt on match days, including football activities, competitions, magicians and a tattoo artist.

In an atmosphere provided by Melody d'Azur, with a cup of coffee or delicacies from Nice, more than 1,000 Gym lovers answered the call. They enjoyed a packed programme and spent more than an hour talking to the goalkeeper and right-back at a signing session.

The players and supporters parted on a high and look forward to seeing each other again on Sunday, when Le Gym return to the Allianz Riviera to face FC Nantes.

Éric Bernigaud: 'We're all proud of the red and black'

Éric Bernigaud, the local councillor for Levens and sub-delegate for sports, enjoyed a day of communion and conviviality, under the banner of Le Gym.

"It's very important for us to host this OGC Nice village, because young people are really fans of the club... We have the little Aiglons here in the hills above Nice.  Enjoying the activities, meeting the players: it's an important event for them. I'd like to thank OGC Nice and Antoine Véran (mayor of Levens), who is always very involved in sport. The players, who have just arrived, have discovered that the people of Nice are not just the inhabitants of Nice, but also those from the Moyen Pays, from the valleys, from all the villages... We're all proud of the red and black colours and of OGC Nice!"
