On Sunday, OGC Nice host Stade de Reims in the opening round of the Ligue 1 season, kick-off at 15:00 CET at Allianz Riviera.

Speaking at the traditional pre-match press conference, 48 hours before the game, Gym coach Christophe Galtier updated Calvin Stengs’ condition: “He suffered a muscle injury and we are taking it week by week with him. He won’t be available against Reims and I don’t think he’ll be ready for the next game against Lille either (Saturday 14 August, 17:00 CET). We will see then.” 

The Nice coach also spoke about Kasper Dolberg: “He needed to take a break in midweek due to the workload. He should train normally tomorrow and, depending on how he feels and my chat with him, we’ll see if he’s in the squad and if he can start the match or come off the bench.”
