Amine Gouiri is your Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the year

Amine Gouiri has been named Crédit Agricole PCA Aiglon of the Year, voted for by you, the supporters. For his first season in Rouge et Noir, the club’s top scorer received a landslide 71% of the vote! He succeeds Kasper Dolberg, last year’s winner.

He finished on top of most of the statistic rankings for Les Rouge et Noir this term. Top scorer with 16 goals and top assists provider with eight, Amine Gouiri shone in his first season on the Côte d'Azur. In fact, this season was a veritable baptism at the highest level for the France U21 international. A product of the Lyon academy, Amine was only given a few substitute appearances to show his qualities in the Rhône. Qualities that he showed in abundance with Nice: on the left wing or in the centre of the attack, brilliant at upsetting the opposing defence with his movement, his speed of execution and his dribbling skills. When he arrived in Nice, the No.11 only needed a few minutes to show the full extent of his talent. 23 minutes to be exact before his first goal against Lens in his very first Ligue 1 appearance as an Aiglon.

An overwhelming winner in the eyes of Nice supporters, this result will surprise no-one! Crowned Crédit Agricole PCA Aiglon of the Month for August, October, November and March, the Bourgoin-Jallieu native quickly established himself as the team's go-to man in attack and made an immediate impression on everyone. Patrick Vieira and Adrian Ursea, first of all, who made him the second most used outfield player of the season (behind Hassane Kamara). The second is Sylvain Ripoll, who called him up for each of the France U21 meetings this season as well as the UEFA U21 Euro. And finally, to cap off a fantastic year, you, the fans, voted him the Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the Year.
