Laura Georges visits OGC Nice!

In town for Les Bleus' friendly match against Wales at the Allianz Riviera, as part of preparations for Euro 2021, Laura Georges paid a visit to OGC Nice on Wednesday. The former international defender with 188 caps for France and now General Secretary of the FFF took the opportunity to discover the club's training centre and to share her experience with the players of the Gym.

A big name in French football visited OGC Nice on Wednesday in the form of Laura Georges, the third-most capped player in the history of the France women's team. On behalf of the Nice board, she received a club shirt with her number on it from Virginie Rossetti, the club's communications and brand director.

After visiting the Gym's training centre, the former defender took part in a question-and-answer session with several young OGC Nice players and members of the the professional squad. In the press conference room, everyone got the chance to talk to the six-time French champion, who shared her experiences both on and off the pitch. Laura Georges, who is now the General Secretary of the French Football Federation, gave valuable advice to an attentive audience, which included José Cobos, former captain of Le Gym between 1999 and 2005, who came to take part in the event.

Laura Georges then went to the OGC Nice Football School. After having watched a training session of the young Nice girls, the former Lyon player attended the signing of the "Women's Sports Section" Partnership Agreement between Frédéric Mistral College and OGC Nice, which has been approved by the French National Education System and the FFF. It is also the first section of this type to open its doors in the Alpes-Maritimes. It was the final point of an afternoon rich in moments of sharing and camaraderie.
