Medical Update

Claude-Maurice surgery successful

Le Gym head to Lyon for their final game of the 2020/21 season on Sunday. Alexis Claude-Maurice will be watching from the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his fractured fibula.

"He's had his operation, everything went well," explained coach Adrian Ursea. "He also had a little problem with his hand. He'd been playing with a brace for some time, and he also had to have surgery on that, and that too went well. The two injuries are not connected, but he took advantage of being able to put them both right."

The coach also lent his player his support: "You know my feelings and admiration for Alexis. I'm so sorry about his injury, like those of Dante and Jeff before him. He's going through a tough time, but it's part of the job. I'm sure he'll find the strength to come through these moments and will come back even stronger."
