Squad

Gouiri and Thuram injured, Atal and Boudaoui return

Youcef Atal and Hicham Boudaoui could both return for Sunday's game against Dijon (kick-off 3pm CEST), but Amine Gouiri et Khephren Thuram are out.

After Amine Gouiri, who came off at half-time of last weekend's goalless draw with Reims, Khephren Thuram is also now in the treatment room.

"They share the fact that their calf strains came after receiving a blow," said Adrian Ursea. "It's a big blow because they're two of the players who've shown the best form in recent games, Amine is our goalscorer. Even if it's not an excuse, we're being forced to find solutions again. We're getting used to it."

GRADE 2 FOR GOUIRI, TEST TO COME FOR THURAM

"Khephren took a blow against Reims. He didn't come off because of that, it was a decision. He returned to training early in the week, he tried, but we had to resign ourselves to the problem. We have to carry out some additional tests to determine the length of his absence, but there were already traces of the strain on the scan," explained the coach. As for Gouiri, he suffered a "Grade 2 strain. He got kicked against Nantes, but didn't mention it. Everything went well in the week before Reims, but unfortunately it came up in the first half and that led us to replace him at the interval."

ATAL & BOUDAOUI RETURN

Youcef Atal and Hicham Boudaoui are on their way out of the treatment room. "They're back," said the Nice coach. "We got them back this week. They'll definitely be in the squad. We're going to be able to count on them. Hicham had a meniscus injury, but it was a different problem to his first injury, that's why it was a little quicker. It's good to get fit players back, even if they won't start."
