The four key stats of Nice – Marseille

We've picked the stand-out stats from last Saturday's 3-0 Mediterranean derby success against Marseille.

Gouiri, 2nd only to Haaland

Amine Gouiri has scored 12 league goals this season, only Erling Haaland (21) has found the net more times in one of Europe's top five leagues among players born in 2000 or after. With 16 goals in all competitions, Gouiri is only bettered by Kylian Mbappé (30) and Karim Benzema (23) among French goalscorers across the continent this season. He's also delivered seven assists (6 in L1).

Solid like Kamara

Though Hassane Kamara also showed he loves getting forward against OM, he certainly did not neglect his defensive duties. He made 10 successful challenges, and had 69 touches, the most of any Nice player.

Dolberg, precise but not rewarded

For his first Mediterranean derby, Kasper Dolberg really put in a shift for the team. The Denmark international's magnetic first touch and accurate eye gave him a game-high 92.3% pass completion. He didn't find the net with his two shots, but he did strike a post leading to Alexis Claude-Maurice snapping up Nice's third goal of the game.

Possession isn't everything

The Rouge-et-Noir had 42.8% possession across the 90 minutes. It's the third-lowest ratio of the season after the win at Rennes (1-2, 37.5%) and the home draw with Lorient (2-2, 41.9%).
