Virginie Rossetti receives FFF appointment

OGC Nice warmly congratulates Virginie Rossetti for her appointment to the Haute Autorité du Football (High Authority of Football).

On Saturday, the Federal Assembly named the members of the High Authority of Football. Of the 24 members of this management control body of the French Football Federation (FFF), now figures Virginie Rossetti, the OGC Nice Director of Communications and Brand.

Virginie Rossetti, who has been working behind the scenes at OGC Nice since 2003, was elected with 83.24% of the votes to the "College of Women" (representing the LFP). She will sit for a period of four years. "This is very good news," said Jean-Pierre Rivère, after congratulating her by telephone. "It is the reward for the quality of the work she does within the club, and which is recognised at a national level. I am very happy for her because she deserves it. Virginie is an extremely loyal person, entirely devoted to the club," added the Rouge et Noir president. "We have known each other for 10 years and she has made enormous progress in many areas. With Nicolas Bernard (Deputy Director of Communications and Brand), she has managed to unite a team around her that does a remarkable job. We are agree on many subjects: it is a real pleasure to work with her and her team. I take the example of the citizen policy carried out by Le Gym, which has been rewarded on several occasions at national level. This new appointment is not by chance, but the result of her excellent work."

This woman, who works on a daily basis for the development of her beloved club, has added a new string to her bow. "A lot of things are decided in these governing institutions," explained Jean-Pierre Rivère. "It's important to be present and to participate in these bodies, which sometimes allows us to move in the direction we want."

VIRGINIE ROSSETTI: ‘AN IMMENSE HONOUR’

OGC Nice's Director of Communications and Brand spoke after her appointment: "Being able to contribute to the development of French football, within the prestigious institution that is the FFF, is a huge honour. Even more so at a time when there are many issues at stake for the future of our sport. Football is not immune to the current crisis. In Nice, but also elsewhere, we have demonstrated over the last few months, in the clubs, that we can show a different image of our sport, that we know how to come together, be responsible, be good citizens and do the right thing, that our image is a strength and that we can use it wisely. Football remains an incomparable vector of emotions. It is time to debate together and reinvent ourselves."

JEAN-PIERRE RIVÈRE: ‘VERY HAPPY WITH THE RE-ELECTION OF NOËL LE GRAËT’

The President of Nice also welcomed the re-election of Noël Le Graët as President of the French Football Federation: "I am delighted because I had supported his candidacy: he was re-elected by a clear margin (73.02% of the votes in the first round, ahead of the list led by Frédéric Thiriez; 25.11% and that led by Michel Moulin; 1.87%). I like him and we have a very good relationship. With him, we can communicate, discuss and reflect on the evolution of our industry."
