Patrick Burner transferred to Nîmes

OGC Nice and Nîmes Olympique have come to an agreement on the transfer of Patrick Burner.

Seeking a new challenge, Patrick Burner is heading for Nîmes, who have a win and a draw from four league matches this season. Nîmes will play Les Aiglons in Round 15 in December.

Hailing from Martinique, Patrick Burner arrived at OGC Nice at the age of 17, and it was at his third club in metropolitan France after Drancy and Etoile Fréjus / Saint-Raphaël that he was converted from winger to full-back. Step by step he worked his way up to the first team, making his senior debut in the Europa League against Krasnodar on 8 December, 2016.

A disciplined and technical defender who could play on either flank, Burner established himself in the squad making 73 competitive appearances in three-and-a-half seasons (with the 2019/20 campaign cut short by the public health crisis).

He scored one goal in those 73 games, finding the net in the derby with Monaco in a 3-1 loss at the Stade Louis II on 24 September, 2019.
OGC Nice would like to wish him every success in his career.
