Medical update ahead of Nice vs Paris SG

This Sunday at 13:00 CET, OGC Nice entertain Paris Saint-Germain to Allianz Riviera in their fourth match of the Ligue 1 season.

Hicham Boudaoui (knee), Bambu (knee) and Danilo (thigh) are currently working their way back to full fitness. “Hicham is working individually on the pitch,” explained Patrick Vieira in Friday’s press conference. “His injury is improving and now we need to increase the work load to see how his knee reacts. It’s too early to set a date for his return. Bambu should be back training with the squad in 10 days.

The coach also confirmed that several members of the OGC Nice first team had tested positive to COVID-19: “It was the case for certain clubs in recent weeks. We have to adapt,” he said. “We have put a sanitary process in place with the club doctor and we are in constant communication with our players. We have to try and have as few cases as possible. We are trying to stay at home as much as possible. We are sending a clear message to the players: you have to be very careful outside of the controlled club environment.

Will the positive cases that will miss the Paris match be available for the game against Bordeaux the following Sunday, 27 September at 13:00 CET? “That depends on the protocol,” answered Les Aiglons’ coach. “They aren’t showing any symptoms, everyone is fine and they are in contact with the doctor and the club and they are waiting.
