Number of touches, successful passes: Numbers and masters

After two games, it's of course not yet time to make a full assessment, but 180 minutes of playing time does at least allow us to shine a light on certain tendencies. During this international window, OGCNICE.com interests itself in the Aiglons who have been the most precise since the start of the season…

… And four players have emerged from the first outings for the Gym. The four "foundation stones' of the rouge et noir game. All of them play in key positions, and the 4 players with the most touches are also those with the highest ratio of successful passes. Three of them play in the centre of the pitch and are the players who start off the rouge et noir moves: Morgan Schneiderlin, Dante and Andy Pelmard.

Locking up a midfield that he covers and looks after, the number 6, at the top of the list , is the Aiglon to have had the most touches and the most precise player. With 164 touches in 180 minutes, the French international is frequently involved.

Presented rightly as the former best tackler in the Premier League, he is also - and above all - a player who distributes with calm feet, as he's been successful with 92% of his passes in L1 2020-2021.

Behind him is the captain: Dante. The oldest player in the squad, the Brazilian international is also the number one player when it comes to passing it out from the back.

With 162 touches and 90% successful passes, he's precious both when it comes to the combat and when it comes to looking after the ball.

Andy Pelmard has the 3rd-highest percentage of successful passes over the first 2 games (89%).

On after half-an-hour against Lens, replacing Bambu, then a starter against RCSA, Andy touched the ball more often than anybody else at la Meinau (108 touches/146 since the start of the season).

Finally, the rapid Hassane Kamara is in front of Andy Pelmard when it comes to the number of touches (155), proof that the rouge et noir game leans to the left, where the  former Reims player enjoys linking up with Amine Gouiri.

That said, Kamara has been slightly less precise than Pelmard (88.5% successful passes), even if he plays a lot more in the opposition half than his young team-mate.
