Aiglon du match Crédit Agricole: Dolberg launches his season!

With 59.1% of the votes, Kasber Dolberg is your Aiglon Crédit Agricole of the Strasbourg - Nice match (0-2). The scorer of a double - his 3rd in L1 -, the Dane finished ahead of Amine Gouiri (19.4%) and Hassane Kamara (12.7%) on the podium.

He signed off from L1 last season with a most precious double against Monaco on March 8. He waited for Round 2 of the 2020-21 edition to score another double, at the Meinau, where the Gym have so often gone and so rarely won in their history.

Between his two doubles, one scored at the end of a prematurely closed season and the other signalling a promising start to the new campaign, Kasper Dolberg rid himself of some hair, going from a springtime mane to a summer shaved look. Fortunately, his talent and strength are still in his feet and in his spirit. With two strikes, he turned the evening in Alsace into one of Nice success. At ease from the penalty spot in pre-season (he scored 2), he didn't tremble when it came to opening the score with a penalty in the game, beating Kawashima (38', 0-1). A penalty that he'd contributed to obtaining, because his good pressing enabled Sylvestre to run for goal, before he was tackled by Koné.

In the second half, the former Ajax player ended the hopes of his opponents with clinical play. Making the most of great work from Gouiri, he saw off his opponent by shaping is if to move towards the centre before picking the right option of pulling wide. Thanks to a little bit of luck or his flair - depending on the interpretation - he took a pass deflected by Sissoko, and clipped it delicately over Kawashima (59', 0-2). It was ideal in order to put an end to the suspense, to seal the win and to open his account from open play for the season.

Behind Dolberg, the Nice supporters placed - just as on the field - Gouiri. Behind the second goal of the evening, the no. 11 built on his great start to the season, following his double against Lens. Yesterday, his technique and dribbling ability allowed him to touch the ball 71 times (the 4th highest total in Nice colours). His heart and concentration showed as he participated in the good Aiglons pressing throughout the match. A team player and precious.

Finally, Hassane Kamara closes out the podium. With his engine and legs, the Aiglons left-back made run after run, getting forward and chasing back towards his own goal. He was trenchant in his forward runs as he was in his defensive interventions.
