Dante hits new milestone

Last Sunday against RC Lens, Dante played his 150th match with OGC Nice. Another milestone in the career of Le Commandant.

History will show that he brought up the symbolic total in the north of France, there where he arrived for the first time in Europe in 2004, never to leave. The he opening 2-1 win of the season against Lens, courtesy of Amine Gouiri stunning double must’ve been just that little bit sweeter for the former Dogue.

A little anecdote is always stronger when the symbolism is present. For the start of the 2020-21 season, that symbolism is represented by loyalty. After first becoming recognised for his century, Dante has now brought up the 150. In wonderfully successful career, he has never worn the same jersey so many times…

In 150 matches with Les Aiglons (124 in L1, 4 in UCL qualifying, 13 in the UEL, 4 in the Coupe de France, 5 in the Coupe de la Ligue), the Brazil international has recorded 61 wins, 39 draws and 50 losses.

On an individual level, Dante has scored four goals and provided six assists.
