The schedule of competitions established

At its meeting on Friday 26 June, the Administrative Council of the LFP approved the decision to maintain Ligue 1 as a 20 club competition for the 2021/21 season. During the meeting, the schedule of competitions was confirmed.

The first weekend of Ligue 1 action in the 2020/21 Uber Eats Ligue 1 season will take place on 22 and 23 August.

In collaboration with UEFA and because of the dates of the Europa League and Champions League finals, respectively scheduled for 21 and 23 August, the arrangements for Matchday 1 will be subject to minor changes in order to avoid scheduling clashes. If Paris Saint-Germain and/or Olympique Lyonnais qualify for the Champions League final, their respective matches will be rearranged to a new date.

For the time being, Matchdays 15, 17, 18, 20 and 23 will be played midweek and Matchday 17, scheduled for Wednesday 23 December 2020 will be the final game before the winter break. Ligue 1 will get back underway on Wednesday 6 January 2021 with Matchday 18. The first half of the campaign will come to a close on the weekend of 9 January 2021 and the second half of the season will start on Wednesday 20 January 2021.

Finally, Matchday 38 and the final game of the season is set for Sunday 23 May 2021.
