Ounas strike named Nice's Goal of the Season for 2019-20

In the final week of May, OGC Nice fans were invited to vote for their best goal of the 2019-20 season.

Many of you took part in the vote that crowned Adam Ounas' goal against Lyon as our club's best goal of the season. This fine individual effort, which was opposed to that of Pierre Lees-Melou against Toulouse, received 54% of your votes.

On 30 January, Les Aiglons played host to Les Gones in the Coupe de France Round of 16. Trailing one minute from the end of regulation time (0-1, goal by Dembélé), they came back into the game thanks to this spell-binding piece of skill.

Played in by Dante's deft pass over the top of the OL defence, Ounas brought the ball down superbly with the outside of his left boot, got the better of Andersen and concluded with a superb - and unbeatable - left-foot shot.

Afterwards, however, Le Gym conceded a second goal (1-2, Aouar's penalty in the 93rd minute), which put a sad end to a thrilling cup campaign from Patrick Vieira's men.
