After a first decision to play matches behind closed doors, this weekend’s matches have finally been postponed. The LFP’s Administrative Council met on Friday morning and unanimously voted to suspend the Ligue 1 and the Ligue 2 ‘until further notice’, with immediate effect due to the health risks posed by Covid-19.

The LFP also announced that the Administrative Council will reconvene again next week after UEFA’s organisational meeting on 17 March.

Jean-Pierre Rivère and Patrick Vieira will hold a press conference today.
