With the support of Dimitri Tordo

Football’s impeccable, flat, green rectangular pitch is a far cry from where Dimitri Tordo rides his mountain bike up and down, braking, accelerating and avoiding pitfalls all over the world. In the world Top 5 in the Enduro discipline for the last two years, the 26-year-old, who hails from Nice, is also a passionate supporter of Les Aiglons. And the opposite is true as well!

On Wednesday, Dimitri dropped in on the Gym’s training centre to spend a nice morning with the team. First up he got a tour of the facilities, before watching the first team train and having a chat with coach Patrick Vieira and captain Dante. The visit ended with an exchange of jerseys.

‘THAT THEY ENJOY THE DERBY!’

I’ve had a great time,” declared the champion. “Thank you to Le Gym. I’m really happy to be here. This training centre is excellent. I watched training before the derby and everyone looks motivated. I’m from Nice, I used to go to the Stade du Ray, now I go to Allianz when I get the chance. Otherwise, if I’m competing in Colombia or Australia or Chile, I wake up in the middle of the night to watch the games. I am united with the players in so far as we are all representing the city of Nice. We compete for the people of Nice. I hope to bring the team a bit of good luck for the derby which is an important match for us, for them and for the championship. I hope they enjoy it and make us happy!

Le Gym wishes Dimitri every success for the Enduro World Series, which starts on 28 March!
