January aiglon

Lees-Melou again

Pierre Lees-Melou is your Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the Month for January!

The midfielder has begun 2020 the way he ended 2019, once again proving an important element on the pitch for Le Gym. In the starting XI versus Fréjus / Saint-Raphaël (2-0), Angers (1-1) and Rennes (1-1), he came off the bench against Lyon in the Coupe de France (1-2). He only missed one of the five matches in January, in the Cup against Red Star (2-1), due to suspension.

Over the course of the month, the former Dijon man continued to rack up impressive stats, including a sixth assist of the season (the fourth-best total in the league), with an inviting cross for Dolberg against Rennes (1-0, 47’). It was enough to see him named Aiglon of the Match vs SRFC.

And he has continued in February, with a deceptive long-range shot that led to the opening goal against Lyon in Ligue 1 (goal from Dolberg, 33’).

With 46% of the votes, the midfielder finished ahead of two African champions. Hicham Boudaoui (16%) confirmed that he is getting better and better, when he was on the scoresheet and Aiglon of the Match against Etoile F/SR, and proving a tireless worker whether it be on the flank or through the middle. Adam Ounas, who netted a stylish equaliser in the Coupe de France against Lyon, completed the top 3 with 13% of the votes.
