Benitez: 'We still have a lot to improve'

Walter Benitez, who made a clutch of key saves, gave his thoughts on the 1-1 draw at Angers: "It wasn't an easy game. Angers are a good team at home. We gave our all and we tried to put in place what we had worked on in training this week. Unfortunately, we conceded a goal early on, but we reacted well, especially in the second half. In the end, it's a good point, even if we came here to win. We know we still have to improve a lot."

The goalkeeper played behind a defence with an unfamiliar look to it due to numerous absences, but he felt the team had coped with the changes: "We have a lot of injured players so we knew some players were going to play in unfamiliar positions. But we stayed alert and we talked more than usual, particularly with Danilo, who played well." Regarding his own performance, Benitez said: "It's important to always be alert. I'm happy with my display and with the point we got."
