Credit Agricole Aiglon of the Match

Dolberg rewarded

Kasper Dolberg is your Credit Agricole Aiglon of the Match for Lyon vs Nice (2-1). The Danish international picked up 39% of the vote and just beat Adam Ounas (37%) to the award. Hicham Boudaoui takes the final place on the podium (24%).

He hadn’t scored since the visit of Lille. But on Saturday, Kasper Dolberg put an end to that with a goal that typifies his style: an acceleration in the box to get in front of his opponent, and his effort left Lopes, who had been excellent throughout the evening, with absolutely no chance.

With 10 minutes to go, the number 9 started the Red and Black revolt. Something he tried to do all evening (five efforts in 90 minutes) and something that he thought he had already done in the 49th minute, after Ounas‘ effort was stopped by Lopes, and he got to the ball before everyone else and turned the ball home, but was then flagged offside.

The stat: Dolberg scored his first goal in Ligue 1 since the 28 September against Lille (1-1), the end of a run of four games without finding the back of the net. He has been involved in  four goals since he arrived in Nice on 14 September (3 goals, 1 assist), more than any other Aiglon.

Adam Ounas finished in second place in the vote. Ever stronger physically, the Algerian international made the difference on his wing, thanks to his left foot and technique. He was also the most solicited player on the pitch (99 touches) and the player who was fouled most (4, on a par with Dembélé).

Finally, Hicham Boudaoui takes the final place on the podium. For his first start in L1, the young midfielder started on the right. Although he made some mistakes, he was mobile, generous, and was the player who was fouled as Marçal was sent off (34'). He didn’t hesitate to add depth to his game, as we saw in the 18th minute, when he was unfortunately  just unable to find Dolberg with his final pass.
