A focus on the final sprint of the year

Check out the details of Les Rouge et Noir‘s final sprint of the 2019 calendar year.

A real battle to get things started

Les Niçois will return to competitive football with a real battle against OL (Saturday 23 November - 5.30pm). Les Lyonnais boast a mixed record at home this season (two wins, two draws and two defeats).

It is worth noting that Patrick Vieira’s side return to the Rhône after a victory there last season (1-0).

Returning home against Angers

OGC Nice will return home to face Angers, who currently sit in third place (Saturday 30 November - 8pm).

Les Angevins have a four point lead on Le Gym and are currently on a three-match run without conceding a goal in Ligue 1. However, SCO have only won one of their last 10 encounters with Nice in the league.

A perilous trip to Saint-Étienne

On Wednesday 4 December (kick-off at 7pm), Les Niçois will travel to the Forez.

Les Verts are currently on a nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions. Claude Puel’s side recently beat Monaco (1-0) and Lyon (1-0) at the Geoffroy-Guichard.

A promoted side at the Allianz Riviera

For Matchday 17, Patrick Vieira and his side will welcome Ligue 1 newbies, Metz.

Until now, Metz have only won one of seven away matches in Ligue 1 this season (with two draws and four defeats).

Les Grenats haven’t won in Nice since the 1995/96 season. The match will be played on Saturday 7 December at 8pm.

A trio to the West

After Metz, the Niçois will face another promoted side. Heading off to Brest where Les Bretons are in good form: only losing once, with three wins and three draws to their name at home.

The match will take place on 14 December at 8pm.

Toulouse to finish the year

Les Rouge et Noir will try to end 2019 in the best possible manner when they welcome Toulouse. Currently in the relegation zone (19th) Les Toulousains are yet to win away from home this campaign.

Although the date of the match is still to be confirmed by the League, it will take place on the weekend of 21 December.
