Cyprien in stats

Last Sunday against Reims (2-0), Wylan Cyprien scored his 20th goal in Nice colours with a typically pure strike. To mark this feat, OGCNICE.com offers you a look at the numbers that typify the midfielder’s performances since arriving on the Côte d'Azur.

Goals: And there’s 20!

Arriving from Lens with the label of being a versatile midfielder possessing the ability to unblock matches (seven goals in 34 L2 matches in his final season for Lens), Cyprien has continued in the same light in his career with the red and blacks. Since arriving in the summer of 2016, he has found the back of the net on twenty occasions (five penalties), including 18 times in the league.

For Le Gym, the man from Guadeloupe has scored on six occasions from outside the box. That’s more than any other Nice player over the same period. His latest effort from distance? Against Reims, where he scored his fifth goal of the season (4 in L1, 1 in the Coupe de la Ligue).

10 assists

The midfielder has also made ten assists in Nice colours, with half of those coming from set pieces. This season, Wylan found Dante (corner) then Ganago (free-kick) during Les Aiglons’ first two league wins (2-1 against Amiens, 1-2 at Nîmes). He equally set up Lees-Melou during the Round of 32 of the Coupe de la Ligue at Le Mans (3-2 defeat).

Almost 100 appearances

After hitting the 100 professional appearances mark with his previous club (112), the number 25 shouldn’t be far from hitting the same landmark as an Aiglon. He currently sits on 97 appearances for OGC Nice in all competitions. This is made up of 85 Ligue 1 matches, seven in the Europa League and five in the domestic cups. This season, he has only missed one match, at Strasbourg, where he was suspended.
