Strasbourg - Nice

In Strasbourg, “it will come through playing”

Alexis Claude-Maurice and Patrick Vieira gave their thoughts on this weekend’s match before traveling to Strasbourg (Matchday 11 of L1 on Saturday at 8pm).

CLAUDE-MAURICE: “WE MUST DO BETTER”

After Paris, it was tough, the weekend was long. We lacked agression, like we had done at Nantes. It’s particularly in that area that we need to improve" explained the attacking midfielder, before adding: “Strasbourg is an important match, given that we haven’t picked up many points in recent matches.”  With one point taken from the last possible 12, Les Aiglons “are focused on catching back up. We are in the process of establishing ourselves, and we won’t lie that we are still getting to know each other better every day, but we need to and we will do better.”

VIEIRA: “IT WILL COME THROUGH PLAYING”

We will go to Strasbourg and try to play. The victory will definitely come through playing“, warned the Nice coach, before expanding: “Going there and playing deep with a line of six and a line of four waiting for a gap to score on the counter, it’s not our way of doing things or in our philosophy.
