Vincent Marcel has left Le Gym. On Monday evening, during the final minutes of the summer transfer window, the midfielder signed for Vitoria Guimaraes,m of the Portuguese First Division. OGC Nice received the confirmation on Tuesday morning that the administrative procedures in Portugal were completed within the required time frames.

In Nice, he will forever remain the star of that night in Amsterdam. The man who, on 2 August 2017, converted Mika Seri’s gem in the Champions League Qualifiers with his right foot. 

Arriving on the Côte d’Azur at the end of his youth development, after a period with the Le Havre Academy, Vincent Marcel played for the club’s U19s and Reserves before getting his taste of the big time. A powerful youngster with an excellent left foot, he made 15 appearances for Les Aiglons’ first team.  

He was loaned out to Troyes (L2) last season, but this time around, the Martiniquais makes it a permanent move and heads to Vitoria Guimaraes who currently sit in 16th place in the Portuguese First Division.
