Adam Ounas loaned to Le Gym

OGC Nice is delighted to announce it has secured a loan deal for Adam Ounas. After undergoing his medical on Thursday, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder completed his loan move, with option to buy from SS Napoli.

Thursday has been a busy day! Whether it was in the offices at the club’s training centre, or with the fans on the social networks. From the naming of the new OGC Nice board, to the flurry of action in the marcato, the announcements followed one after another. Dolberg was first off the rank. Claude-Maurice followed two hours later. And today, another new signing: Adam Ounas on loan.

Like Youcef Atal, he was named champion of Africa in July with Algeria. Capable of making the difference on the pitch, the attacking midfielder played for Napoli last season, after joining the Italian club in summer of 2017.

Career

Born in Chambray-lès-Tours, the creative dribbler made his Ligue 1 debut at 19, for Bordeaux, after coming through the club’s youth academy. With Les Girondins, he played 60 matches in all competitions, scoring ten goals and providing six assists, before joining the Italian giants. The youngster, who can play anywhere across the forward line, made his Champions League debut and played his role in the breath-taking title race between the Partenopei and Juventus.

In two seasons with Napoli, Ounas twice finished second in the league, making 39 appearances, providing one assist and scoring five goals.

Welcome to your new home Adam!
