Official: Allan Saint-Maximin leaves Le Gym

OGC Nice and Newcastle have come to an agreement for the sale of Allan Saint-Maximin.

Present alongside his teammates since the start of pre-season, Allan Saint-Maximin left the Nice squad on Thursday in order to go and sign for his new club. After arriving in Nice in the summer of 2017 from Monaco, the French youth international (22 years old) played two full seasons in the Red and Black shirt. In all competitions, he made 74 appearances, scored 11 goals and made 14 assists for Les Aiglons. This included the European adventure in 2017-18, which came to an end in Moscow in the Round of 32. With incredible skill with the ball at his feet, the former number 7 found in Nice, the consistency that he had been lacking at the start of his L1 career (during the 2013-14 season), allowing him to take another step forward in his progress as a player.

After Saint-Etienne, Hanover, Bastia, Monaco and Nice, Allan is now preparing to begin a new challenge in the Premier League. In England, he will wear play for the Magpies, who finished last season in 13th place of the English top flight.

OGC Nice thank Allan for his two seasons at the club and wish him the very best for the rest of his career.
