On Wednesday, Dante, Benitez and Herelle pulled on their shorts, shirts and socks to join in with Les Aiglons’ pre-season preparations. 

These were the images of the day. Captain Dante, Benitez and the rock of the back four, Herelle, returning to the training ground, two days after the rest of their teammates.  

As a reminder, the keeper and the two defenders played a major role in Les Aiglons’ campaign last year. Dante, Walter Benitez (your Aiglon of the Season) and Christophe Herelle all featured in the top five Niçois in terms of game time last season - alongside Malang Sarr, who is still on holiday following the U21 Euros, and Adrien Tameze.

Together, the trio played in 29 league matches last season. A season in which Le Gym finished with the second best defence in France.
