Agreement with Khephren Thuram

OGC Nice and Khephren Thuram have an agreement in principle to complete a deal which will see the youngster join OGC Nice.

After interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, the U18 international - he turned 18 last Match - who has come to the end of his scholarship contract with AS Monaco, has chosen to join OGC Nice for his first professional contract

“Khephren has excellent qualities and is a hardworking young man” commented Gilles Grimandi, Le Gym’s Technical Director. “He was very quickly convinced by the fact that his development as a player will rely on game time in a team that plays possession football and in a club that doesn’t hesitate in offering a chance to young players.”

He is a versatile midfielder who has already shown his quality in the Champions League last year with Monaco and also impressed in the Youth League (where he notably got his name on the scoresheet against Chelsea), as well as in the various age groups with the French national side.

Attracted by the project in place at the club, the midfielder will sign his professional contract on 1 July when he joins up with Patrick Vieira’s squad on the 1 July.
