Before the final game of the season, the objective was clear: Le Gym wanted to beat Monaco in order to beat last season’s points tally (54) and finish in 7th place in the league - one position higher than in 2017-18. The objective was completed. On the pitch, Les Aiglons made the difference against Monaco (2-0), which saw them finish the season with 56 points.

At the same time, Lyon secured victory over Nîmes (3-2), which left Les Crocos in 9th place, behind Reims, who beat Paris (3-1).
